Lawton Heat welcomes Head Coach Leanne DeBoice
Leanne DeBoice comes to the Lawton Heat Volleyball Club from Canada. She played high school volleyball at Rosetown, Saskatchewan, Canada, leading her team to 2 provincial silver medals, in 1989 and 1990. Throughout junior high and high school, Leanne was a setter for the Saskatchewan provincial midget and juvenile volleyball teams, ending her provincial team career with a silver medal at the Canadian National Championships in Montreal in 1991. Leanne went on to play 5 years for the University of Saskatchewan Huskie Women’s Volleyball team, from 1991 to 1996, and was the starting setter for 3 years, before switching to right side hitter for her final year of collegiate volleyball. Leanne also has coaching experience, instructing at numerous volleyball camps throughout her career. She was the assistant coach for the Saskatoon Black Widows, who came in 5th in the Canadian National Juvenile Volleyball Championships in 1997. Leanne was also the assistant coach for the Saskatoon RCVC Volleyball Club, who won the midget provincial championship in 1998.
Leanne graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1998, with a B.Sc. in Physical Therapy. She has lived in Lawton for 10 years, and currently works as a physical therapist for Carter Home Health Care.
Leanne looks forward to coaching with the Lawton Heat Volleyball Club, and hopes to teach good fundamental volleyball skills, as well as to promote determination, hard work, and a love for the game of volleyball.
As you can see Coach Leanne will make a great Head Coach who truley loves the game and comes to us with determination and knowledge

6th Annual LAWTON HEAT TRY-OUTS 14 AND UNDER
Lawton Heat Volleyball Club will be having Try-Outs for Girls 13 - 14 years of age for those that are 14 you must have turned 14 on or after SEP 1st 2008. Try outs will be at HC King Community Center on Tuesdays from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Thursdays 5:00 pm until 6:00 PM starting 21 OCT through 6 NOV Please click on the tab Join Us and fill out the questionaire and a coach will contact you for registration details.
Try outs will be $35 due at the time of tryouts
